internships in goa, india
an introduction to the region of goa

tropical mini-state Goa in India, with reverse sides
Goa was a Portuguese colony until 1961. As a result, Goa today offers a unique blend of Indian and Portuguese culture and architecture, which visibly distinguishes it from the rest of India. Goa is home to Hindus, Roman Catholics and a smaller Muslim population.
Goa is also considered one of the most peaceful states in India. Because of its paradise beaches and delicious food, Goa is a magnet for tourists from all over the world.
Tourism is an important source of income, but it also has a dark side. It weighs on the local population. Foreigners' fascination with Goa has brought with it pollution and prostitution. Tensions arise between villages and large hotels.

India
what you need to know

Gigantically big
With more than a billion inhabitants, the Indian subcontinent has enormous socio-economic, cultural, linguistic, religious, ethnic, geographical and political diversity. Due to its colonial past, English is an official language in India alongside a whole host of other languages such as Hindi.

SUPER DIVERS
Landscapes range from snowy peaks to deserts, tropical rainforest and sandy beaches. The country is in constant change: you can, as it were, see contemporary history take place in time-lapse mode.

lAND of PARADOXEs
On the one hand, India is a BRIC country in full economic growth. On the other hand, the country is facing huge problems. As a result, India has a great deal of expertise in social work, sustainable development, agriculture, environmental protection, and community development.
